Rtravel -- New Travel Video Sharing and Networking Site for Travellers is Launched

(PRWEB) December 12, 2007 -- Rtravel, a new travel video and networking site for travellers, has launched a travel video competition with a $1000 cash prize.

The new site is specially constructed and organised for travel videos, with sections of the site organised by different locations and different travel categories such as sightseeing videos, adventure videos and travel services.

The emphasis is on user-produced amateur videos that people upload themselves, rather than showing professionally-made travel documentaries. The site, which has been set up by young people from the UK, who love travel and who have travelled extensively, is designed to be a fun place for travellers to share their travel experiences and exchange information.

The inventory of travel videos is already growing rapidly and the site is logging visitors from throughout the world. Rtravel plans to add many more features as the site grows.

A section of the Rtravel site is also dedicated to travel services where any travel related companies such as hotels, resorts, travel agents, airlines etc can upload promotional videos, for free promotion on the site.

As part of the site launch, Rtravel has opened a travel video competition where the best and most popular travel videos uploaded will be awarded cash prizes.
